After retiring from full-time work, Jenny sought a more meaningful way to spend her time and decided to explore volunteering—specifically with underprivileged children. She discovered an opportunity with Les Restaurants des Enfants, a school in Cambodia supported by a French charity, which supports street children, orphans, and those from low-income families.
At the school, children received daily hot meals, fruit, and water, and were taught hygiene, responsibility, and the importance of play. Jenny assisted with cooking, serving food, and engaging the children in games and basic English—helping them learn to count to ten and write numbers.

A Rewarding Experience
The experience was deeply rewarding for Jenny, as the children were eager for love and attention, which she and a fellow volunteer were able to give. She also distributed donated t-shirts from Bubbles Roadside Recovery, which the children gratefully received and wore with pride.
